Aadhar Card will be Compulsory for DDA Housing Scheme 2014

Mr. Najeeb Jung, the Lieutenant Governor who is the chairman of the Delhi Development Authority, has asked the housing agency to make it compulsory for flat applicants to give details of their Aadhaar cards.

This is done for the DDA Scheme of Nearly 27,000 flats in Rohini, Narela, Siraspur and Dwarka will be put on sale in the first week of July. The move is aimed at preventing fake identity documents being used for filing multiple applications and attempts by profiteers to corner more than one flat for selling them at a premium.

The step has been taken so that the benefits of the new scheme should go to genuine home seeker and not those who indulge in malpractice of selling Delhi Development Authority flats for a premium.

A bulk of the flats to be put on sale by the DDA in one of its biggest housing schemes will be meant for the economically weaker sections and priced around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
